Always remember "to look up at the stars and not down at your feet" - Stephen Hawking https://www.spacex.com/webcast space x falcon heavy all 3 boosters landed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dCln8n0i5g SPACE X FALCON 9 Great excitement as Space X successfully launches huge Falcon 9 rocket on Feb. 19 (International Space Station resupply mission), then re-lands the main stage on earth on target and relaunches the same main stage on Mar. 30 (communications satellite deployment) and relands the main stage on earth again on target.
  • Feb. 6, 2018, SpaceX Successfully Test Launches Falcon Heavy Rocket (full 34 min. video), The SpaceX Falcon Heavy Rocket, more powerful than the Saturn V rocket, was successfully launched from Pad 39A at Kennedy Space Center in Florida, the same pad as was used for the Saturn V's.   Two side boosters landed unharmed near the launch site. A Tesla car (as a test payload) was successfully launched into space and inserted into an eliptical orbit around the Sun and Mars.   The core booster unfortunately did not successfully land on a floating platform.   Overall, the initial launch of Falcon Heavy was deemed by all as an outstanding triumph by Elon Musk and his SpaceX team.   You can read more at www.SpaceX.com.

  • May 2019, Scheduled Launch of James Webb Space Telescope (the new Hubble), Wikipedia.  It will be put 1 million miles farther from the sun than the earth and will orbit the sun along with the earth.  A sun shield attached to the telescope will block all radiation so the telescope will be extremely cold at minus -400°F (-200°C) and better able to take infrared pictures.
